Staff was really kind and helpful. The intention with our stay was to help our daughter to move from one apartment to another in Uppsala, so the location was great. Breakfast was also good.

With its majestic cathedral as a backdrop, Uppsala is an old and fascinating city lined with tranquil waterways and home to a medieval old town, botanical gardens, and several historical landmarks such as Uppsala Castle.
The lively and colourful main square of Stora Torget is surrounded by narrow cobbled streets, shops, restaurants and cafés.
Gamla (Old Town) Uppsala offers visitors a step back in time and gives an insight into what life was in medieval times. The old town features the Temple at Uppsala, pre-historic and Viking burial grounds and traditional Swedish houses.
Upsala houses the 15th-century Uppsala University and has a large student population which in-turn means an energetic nightlife; this is reflected in the bars, pubs and clubs located around the city centre and university quarter.
The city is a popular and ideal base for travellers visiting Stockholm and Arlanda, both of which are easily accessible from Uppsala Central Station. A wide range of accommodation options are available throughout Sweden via Booking.com.

I visited Uppsala because I couldn't secure any rooms in Stockholm. But my oh my, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The city was so lovely and easy to navigate. I walked around, visited numerous landmarks, and had lunch in a cute little restaurant, Guntherska. Once in your lifetime, you should make time to visit Uppsala.

Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet.
Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet. Easy travel from/to Arlanda airport. Bus(801) is cheaper than train. Short distances almost everywhere in the city. Rentable E-bikes and E-scooters available. English language is widely in use. My experiences are from summertime only. I`ll definately come back again.

Uppsala is one of Sweden's oldest cities and well worth a visit. I had not been for 30 years and was so pleasantly surprised how much there was to do both within the city and just outside the city. It's very walkable and very safe. I loved my visit to the University Library to see the Silver Bible "Codex Argenteus". I also love churches and the Cathedral the biggest in Scandinavia did not disappoint. Gustav Vasa the founder of Modern Sweden is buried here. The botanical garden I am sure is wonderful later in the year when it's all blooming. I ate at the cafe near the gardens called Cafe Victoria and it was excellent. There are lots of eateries and "watering holes" but be mindful alcohol sold in bars and restaurants are very pricey. Use the Systembolaget and get a bottle and have a picnic in the park. Uppsala is a university city so very lively and has easy access to Stockholm should you wish.

The fourth largest city in Sweden.
The fourth largest city in Sweden. A university city that can be compared to Cambridge in the UK. Famous for its cathedral and university campus. Also hosts a very good choice of bars and restaurants. Located 55mins from Stockholm City and only a short train ride from Arlanda Airport.

City I love to visit, very easy for tourists, good shopping and restaurants. Public transport is great, or you can hire a bicycle and get round like the locals.
Clean and safe, lots of history, old city, cathedral and castle. Was once the capital of Sweden.
Very close to nature, easy to get to the old Viking mounds.
Down side, it's expensive,
This wonderful hotel is located in a central position in Uppsala close to trains, buses, shops, and city sights. The team are very friendly and kind throughout the hotel. Their breakfasts are legendary and truly amazing. We were staying at the Radisson Blu to visit our Swedish family locally, and the staff welcomed them to visit us with open arms. They proved that they are indeed a family hotel. Everything was really great and we will return to that hotel soon. it suits our purposes practically but it is also a relaxing place to stay.
Lovely old hotel with a super helpful staff. There was seating outside in front of the hotel as well as a nice area inside just off the entrance. The room was simple, very comfortable and had a really large window. The location was ideal- an easy walk from the central station to many of the local sights. And it is right on the river that runs through Uppsala. The staff member who checked me in was very patient and helpful with a reservation that a bit confusing. I loved this place!
The hotel is on the edge of the city centre. I have a room facing the park and it was totally silent. The staff are excellent, they are always ready to help. They have a policy of only making your room up if you ask for it, so no having to leave for half the day if you are tired (I arrived at 3 am), but if you need anything the house staff are only too happy to help.
Very helpful staff, a comfortable and clean room. A pretty good breakfast system to avoid overcrowding and they can help recommend good places to order food from after their restaurant closes.
Free parking is amazing.
Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of things to choose from.
This is my new go to hotel whenever I will find myself in Uppsala again!
-the rooms are homey
-the kitchen is great
-sun shines nicely into the room
-very efficient heating system as it was always very warm
-easy check in and check out.
-very responsive staff
Although it’s relatively far from the city centre, you can take bus 6 (which is 4 minutes away walking from the hotel) to the central station in Uppsala.
This was our favorite place we stayed in Sweden. How could a person not love such a idyllic setting in the country, surrounded by flowers, orchard, berries, chickens. It was peaceful. Josef was super nice. The house is over 100 years old but renovated. It sleeps up to 8. Great place to stay.
Great location short drive to gammel uppsala. Very comfortable clean rooms. Handy parking on site. We did get a parking ticket but when I spoke to the receptionist she was very helpfully and sorted it all out for us so we didnt have to pay the fine. Very good hotel will stay again!
The apartment is very functional, access was quick and easy, it is near the park, as well as the city center and the main train and bus stations (15 min walk). I recommend it, if I return to Uppsala I will definitely return to the same hotel.
A well maintained historical hotel, usually my first choice when I come to Uppsala. Rooms are relatively simple, but beautifully furnished and clean. Very good breakfast. Fast wifi. Great location next to the river.
The hotel lies between the Uppsala train station and the city center. You can walk almost everywhere. We especially enjoyed the breakfast with lots of cereals and waffles with lots of different toppings.
Breakfast was plentiful, room cozy and comfortable, the staff friendly, and altogether the stay was very pleasant. The best thing about the hotel was the quiet but central area that it is located in.
